Disc Spring (Spring Washer) Materials

raw-materialMubea belleville disc springs are manufactured to meet the most demanding fatigue life requirements while exhibiting a minimum amount of relaxation. The choice of disc spring material directly influences these properties. For standard applications, the spring materials Ck 67 and 51 CrV 4 are used. These materials are very economical and commonly used for springs in Group 1 (Ck 67) and in Group 2 and 3 (51 CrV 4). Furthermore, special materials can be used for applications requiring:

  • High corrosion resistance
  • Operation at low/high temperature
  • Antimagnetic properties.

The properties of the materials used by Mubea are listed in the following tables. In general, it should be noted that the module of elasticity provided in Tables 5.1 and 5.3 are experimentally obtained values and are only for reference. However, they do indicate how the spring characteristics will vary as the operating temperature changes. Table 5.2 lists the chemical composition of the various materials used by Mubea.
